6x6x6 [Excluding Fluid Containment] Level 9 Self Sustaining Steam Engine

Compact 6x6x6 Level 9 [147,456 SU] Steam Engine [excluding fluid containment & 1 block underground]. NOTE: Make sure the lava is not near flammable blocks or ensure DoFireTick is off to prevent fire risk.

Requires no mods other than Create.

Has 14 lava cauldrons for fuel, more than enough to sustain the 9 Blaze Burners fueling the boiler.

Can be tiled by extending the Encased Chain Drive (on the front) up by one block and connecting shafts between the modules (as shown in picture 3). Note that using many Mechanical Arms may cause excessive server lag.

When drawing power from your Steam Engine, ensure you connect your machines to the Large Cogwheel exposed on the front of the build, as it runs at 256 RPM. Exporting it from elsewhere may result in the need for another Rotational Speed Controller to ensure your machines run at max RPM.

𝕊𝕖𝕥𝕦𝕡 𝔾𝕦𝕚𝕕𝕖:

1. Import schematic into world via Schematicannon or printing (Creative mode only).

2. Place lava as shown in the picture (14 buckets required) and water in the hole next to the Mechanical Arm and Rotational Speed Controller (2 buckets required). Place a lava bucket in either of the 2 Depots.

3. Wait for at least 9 of the lava cauldrons to fill up with lava. Alternatively, fill the cauldrons manually with lava buckets.

4. Place a Large Water Wheel on the exposed side of the Rotational Speed Controller and add flowing water to get it spinning. It should overstress the system.

5. Set the Rotational Speed Controller to 48 RPM. Wait for the Mechanical Arm to fuel at least one of the Blaze Burners before turning the Rotational Speed Controller up to 256 RPM.

6. Remove the Large Water Wheel and water and enjoy your SU!
