Dustbound

The Dustbound is a massive, permanently moving train that crosses the endless desert wasteland left after the collapse of civilization. No longer belonging to any government, company, or railway, it has become a roaming settlement, carrying survivors, food, water, fuel, machinery, and whatever resources can still be salvaged from the ruins buried beneath the sand. Its crews maintain the surviving rail lines and keep the train moving from one isolated outpost to another,

The overall design is heavily inspired by Fyemir’s Ironfrost

Features:

Completely empty interiors: there is literally nothing inside, so you get to decide what the train actually does instead of being handed a pre-built layout. (Except for the locomotive and the cabin)

Mostly symmetrical modular construction, making individual cars easier to modify or repurpose.
