Description

This part is a simple leg, slightly modified. I think that with added suspension, it could be used to make a walking base, or even a mech/robot.

Do not forget to place the spring as shown in the picture, and tighten it fairly strongly so that the spring stays small and pulls the leg back. Also, make it a bit stiffer, but that part is entirely up to your preference.

I modified it compared to Simhwui’s version. I have not yet found out how effective ice blocks are in this mechanism, but a sticky block is definitely needed for grip with the surface.

On unlocking the joints:
1- Upper joint
2- Lower joint
3- Middle joint, the main one

P.S.

This is my first post on this site, so if there are any mistakes, I am always happy to hear feedback in the comments.

The mechanism is based on Simhwui’s idea; I attached a link to his video in the post.
Simhwui, please let me know if you are against this.

Unfortunately, the site does not allow me to describe my manifesto in my profile, so I will leave it here:

I noticed that there are not many robot-related builds on this site, and in my opinion, that is a big missed opportunity. I was inspired by mech builds on YouTube, and I think that if we share individual parts or full models, we will be able to improve them even further.

Mechs have always inspired me, and I feel like Create: Aeronautics may finally allow us to build the robots we have always dreamed of. I hope this will help us discover a new layer of Minecraft by creating mechs that are not only beautiful, but also functional.

Of course, this comes with the obvious limitation that many of these functions can be replaced by the player, by standard Create tools such as deployable drills, or by Minecraft mods with extremely powerful weapons. However, if there were a mod that gave health to a contraption, allowing mobs to attack it, perhaps by dividing it into zones so that they would become separate layer objects or fall apart when damaged, then mech gameplay could become its own progression system. In complex modpacks, players could fight mobs using their own mechs, not just fight other players by trying to destroy each other’s machines.
