Ventura County Railway 2-6-2 #2 Steam Locomotive

Some notes before we get into the history and personal significance of #2, make sure you have Chipped for the headlight, and when placed, make sure that the diagonal girders are facing towards each other, and that when you shift + R-click the driving bogie on the engine, the customization options match the 4th photo in this post.

Ventura County Railway 2, known commonly as "VC2," started its life off in Washington State where it ran logging trains until being sold to the Ventura County Railway and gaining its current appearance. It was sold to a private individual (i think) in February of 1964, and 6 years later, was sold to the Orange Empire Railway Museum (now the Southern California Railway Museum) where it has pulled excursions on the third weekends of the month, and plus it helped my interest in trains tenfold. I even got two cab rides and got to blow the whistle once! Boy was that fun! As of me writing this it is currently in a federally mandated 5 year inspection and rebuild, with an expected return to service in 2028.
