So uh. Me again. I kept messing with the vertical mineshaft bore I posted already, because it bothered me that you really couldn't recall it, and if it fell over you were just out of luck.

So... I kept tinkering. And then I came up with this freak of nature.

I really don't understand the mechanisms of what I did in the slightest, but for some reason whenever the drill is going down, the drill heads are moving without needing to be directly powered by an engine/motor/etc.

I'm going to assume this is due to black magic and witchcraft.

EITHER WAY! It works. Not only does it work, this is way cheaper to make since the number of cogwheels is reduced and the portable engines aren't needed anymore. So that's cool.

NOTES/HOW TO USE

1) Before starting the drill, make sure you go all the way to the top and fill the waterwheel tank with water.

2) Make sure the brake lever is linked to the clutch, and that the ascend/descend lever is linked to the gearshift. The redstone links are in place and everything should be set up, but I'm not really sure if the linkage is saved when sharing the schematic, so better to be safe and note that than to not.

3) The drills now actually collect dropped items. Turns out I'm kind of an idiot, and literally all I needed to do was put barrels on top of the drills and it just sucks up whatever's getting mined, so now there's less risk in losing stuff. The drill also doesn't seem to be effected by hitting water or lava since it depends on a pulley now.

4) DO NOT ENABLE PHYSICS ON THIS ONE. I... don't actually know what would happen if you did? I mean the only thing that's glued together is the drill chassis itself. But. Yeah. Physics aren't needed on this version.
