Compact WASD-Controlled Airship

A very compact airship that is well balanced and controlled via linked typewriter. Have fun exploring or traveling without being trapped in a cramped cabin with complicated manual controls!

How to Fly:

Assemble contraption and glue with honey glue. Climb onto the airship (don't get in the seat quite yet!) and add fuel of your choice to engine. Right click the linked typewriter and hold [SPACE] until the nixie tube reads at least 9 (will float slightly at sea level to around y = 74). If the engine is currently activated (i.e. propellers are moving) then press [W] to deactivate it. Pull lever to assemble. Right click seat to sit down, then right click linked typewriter to gain control. Press [F5] twice to change POV into contraption camera mode if desired. Press [W] to activate engine and fly away!

Controls:

[W] - Toggle Engine

[A]/[D] - Turn Right/Left

[S] - Press and Hold to Reverse

[SPACE] - Increase Elevation

[LCTRL] - Decrease Elevation

Other information:

Max elevation is y = 188 (~cloud level) at burner level 15. This increases slightly (~10 blocks) when moving.

Speed is approximately 2 m/s.

Included in the design are a crafting table, furnace, and 6 barrels for storage. If more storage is needed, the planks beneath the seat and typewriter can be replaced with more barrels or chests.

Hot air burner responsiveness can be changed by increasing or decreasing the time of the redstone accumulator under the crafting table.

Requires one precision mechanism and two brass ingots to construct, so not quite early game. However, this airship is still quite compact and resource efficient!
