Heavily modified version of the EMD E7 Streamliner posted by Humongousgreg https://createmod.com/schematics/large-2-railroad-car-train-locomotive-only-no-passenger-carriages#

Completely re-shaped the chassis and body to fit to more realistic proportions. Mostly lines up with real dimensions, and is now properly internally powered with a Create: The Factory Must Grow (TFMG) diesel engine and a Create: Electro Energetics alternator/generator + motors. Simurail is used to make the whole thing a proper sublevel, allowing the onboard powertrain to work. Should be adaptable to Loconautics as well, but that's an exercise for the reader.

Has a "realistic" startup procedure, which must be performed any time the diesel engine stops running on its own (out of fuel, physics assembler etc).

  1. Go into the cab and locate the gauge panel in the rear of the cab. On the top-left of that panel, there is a button which must be depressed.

  2. Prime the fuel tanks in both the lead and slug (preferably diesel, but the fuel is your choice).

  3. Break/replace the air intakes, they like to bug out.

  4. Take 1 coal, for each portable engine (head and slug) and start them -- the diesel engine should fire off and ramp up the SU output (check the stressometer). If it doesn't come alive, check the engine units for fuel/air.

  5. Once both engines are running at full power, go back to the cab and press the button again (should be "out" after this step).

  6. Check the alternators are spinning, at this time they should both be spinning at max speed.

  7. Familiarize yourself with the cockpit controls. The left-most lever is the reverser, allowing forward or reverse thrust. Forward thrust is enabled when the redstone indicator above the switch is "on". The right-most lever is the throttle. The bottom, horizontal lever is the brake lever.
