TRCC1 - The Junkyard

Welcome to The Junkyard, a racetrack for Tonestas' challenge. This is based on a track of the same name from a relatively old and obscure cart racer called NASCAR Kart Racing for the Nintendo Wii. I would highly recommend checking it out since it has some very interesting mechanics for a cart racer. As for the map itself, I've taken a few liberties with the design to make it fit Minecraft (and allow me to reach the deadline).

SETUP:

Unlike the other maps I've seen, there's not a lot of setup here in comparison (I guess take that as a blessing lol). There are only a few things that need explaining:

1. There are a few parts of the map that go underground, so you can optionally embed the schematic 3 blocks into the ground. Just make sure to remove any ground blocks that will fill the gaps.

2. Assemble the crane: follow the instructions on the image provided to assemble the moving crane. Make sure that when glueing the crane, you DO NOT include the Redstone Contact that it's touching, or else the crane will take it with it.

3. Have fun! :)

A good lap around the track is around ~35 seconds, three laps is around ~1:45. Using the shortcut can shave a second or two off that time if taken properly. I would do about 3-5 laps for a 2 to 2:30 minute race.

One quick addendum: I'd like to thank my friends whose input was greatly appreciated, especially Bobbert, who also submitted a map. As an easter egg there's a reference to his map on mine.
