UNION IRONCLAD - USS MONITOR

BRIEF HISTORY:

This is one of the first ironclads to ever fight another. Improvements in technology and materials science gave many nations motive to experiment with new naval designs. The USS MONITOR was a radical new concept at the time. Removing the broadsides of guns and exchanging it with a central turret housing 2 of the heaviest cannons the Union could mount. Her first battle would be her historic clash with the rebel beast CSS VIRGINIA.

ARMAMENTS:

2 Cast iron cannons

PROPULSION:

1 x Level 6 Boiler
1 x Twin Blade Propeller
Historical max speed: ~ 3 m/s
In-game Max speed: ~6 m/s
