So, what is this disgusting creation?

Well, simple. It's a drill tower.

Okay but why?

Well. I'm a nerd. And you see, the way a lot of real life mines work is, there's a vertical shaft, usually with an elevator, and every so often there's a horizontal shaft that branches off this central shaft every so often. Now obviously minecraft isn't real life and yada yada yada, but it's my fun so don't ruin it (✿◡‿◡)

Anyways, the point of this drop tower is, you fuel it up, then pull the physics lever. The drill drops down from the guidance scaffolding (which is essential to give the drill a proper start, so it won't tip or lean as it goes), and as long as you keep it fueled, it's capable of mining straight down to bedrock, giving you a central vertical mineshaft to branch off from!

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW

1) Create this on flat ground or you're gonna have a bad time, m'kay?

2) It doesn't collect items as it goes, so dropped blocks will be stuck below the drill. The point isn't to use it as a miner itself, so I didn't really bother figuring out an item collection system. Also. I'm new to the create mod and too dumb to figure it out. However, if you want to modify to give it this ability, knock yourself out, champ. That being said, when you hit bedrock all the dropped items/blocks will be under the drills, so you can just disassemble the drill and break it down to get to the items, which is probably what you're gonna want to do anyways since at that point it doesn't really serve a purpose anymore.

3) In testing, I got lucky and never hit any caves or caverns. I get a feeling if you do hit one when you deploy this thing it's likely to tip around or get knocked off track, and uh... well... gonna be honest. I really didn't engineer a solution to that problem... so... oopsies :s

4) As stated above, the cobblestone scaffolding is ESSENTIAL to giving the drill itself a proper start. The scaffolding is NOT glued to the drill, so when you assemble the drill, it will drop down. This is by design. Without the scaffolding, it tends to have a very rocky start, and usually gets knocked off course and stalls out a handful of blocks down.

5) Before you try flaming me. I know. It's ugly, it's janky, and it's not well made. I still had fun making it anyways so take it or leave it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
